Arch Re names Mt. Logan's Chase as Deputy General Counsel for Capital Partners and Reinsurance.

Arch Re, the reinsurance underwriting division of Arch Capital Group, has appointed Nicole Chase as Deputy General Counsel for Arch Re Capital Partners & Reinsurance. Previously, Chase held key roles at Everest's third-party capital and ILS platform, Mt. Logan.

Chase joined Everest Group in 2016, initially serving as Associate General Counsel for its ILS platform, investment department, and corporate finance operations. In 2022, she was promoted to Vice President in that capacity. During her tenure, Chase also served as Chief Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Mt. Logan, Everest's third-party reinsurance capital and ILS investment arm.

At Mt. Logan, Chase managed legal affairs for Everest’s flagship ILS vehicle, Mt. Logan Re, and represented its Bermuda-based insurance manager, Mt. Logan Capital Management, overseeing compliance, business operations, and investor relations.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Chase announced her transition to Arch Re in her new role.

Arch Re has been actively growing its third-party and alternative reinsurance capital offerings. The company provides investors access to reinsurance portfolio returns via ILS structures, including the collateralized reinsurance sidecar and Voussoir Re Ltd., a special purpose insurer. Additionally, Arch Re facilitates collateralized reinsurance transactions, enabling ILS funds and investors to access risks more efficiently.

As part of Arch Capital Group, the company plays a pivotal role in ILS and third-party reinsurance capital investment facilitation, a field where Chase’s expertise and prior experience will be invaluable.
